Laura Fong Willemse is a seasoned producer and content marketer with extensive experience in broadcasting and digital media. Currently a producer at CBS News since September 2013, Laura coordinates all aspects of a nightly prime time newscast and has a successful track record in creating impactful multi-platform content, managing breaking news, and displaying strong editorial judgment. Previous roles include news writer, content strategist, and content creator, where Laura launched a text-based web series and crafted compelling scripts for major newscasts. Additionally, Laura has experience in B2B marketing, having designed and executed content campaigns at Cleary, and developed community-focused programming for the City of Torrance. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Communication from UC San Diego, Laura combines strong communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to research and storytelling.
