David Ziegler has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. David is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Clear Street since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Bloomberg LP as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2018 to June 2021. At Bloomberg, they played a significant role in architecting and implementing the primary ETL workflow for fund reference data and owned multiple C/C++ services in the Bloomberg Terminal.

Before their time at Bloomberg, David was a Vice President Equities Technology at Goldman Sachs from April 2015 to March 2018. David created a system to model and calculate Equities/Options exchange fees and commissions and automated the reconciliation process, significantly improving accuracy. Additionally, they led the development of an ETE testing framework used to certify trading and messaging applications.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, David served as a Lead Software Engineer and Product Manager at StreetLight Data, Inc. from November 2013 to March 2015. David led the engineering efforts for a SAAS product selling and visualizing geospatial data analytics and mentored junior developers.

David also has experience as a Technical Co-Founder at Cloth & Dagger from March 2012 to August 2013, where they were responsible for frontend and backend development, infrastructure, and metrics. David doubled the number of orders processed per day and reduced returns by creating custom software and predictive algorithms.

In their earlier career, David worked as a Freelance Web Developer from October 2008 to March 2012, providing full-stack web development services for corporate and non-profit clients. David drafted and implemented technical specifications and deployed consumer-facing projects.

David began their career as an intern at Numenta from May 2007 to September 2008, where they implemented proof of concepts for machine learning algorithms and technologies and developed and applied object recognition algorithms for partner companies and computer vision DARPA challenges.

David Ziegler attended Case Western Reserve University from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics. David then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University from 2006 to 2008.
