Ellie Kemp has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations. Ellie started their career in 1999 as a Programme Officer in Mission East and later became a Country Director in Albania, Tajikistan, and Mongolia. Ellie joined Oxfam in 2004 and held multiple roles including Communication consultant, Advocacy Strategy Advisor, and DR Congo policy lead. In 2011, they worked as a Somalia policy advisor in Oxfam before joining Translators without Borders in 2017 as the Head of Crisis Response. Currently, they are the Head of Research, Evidence, and Advocacy at CLEAR Global.
Ellie Kemp began their education in 1988 at Heriot-Watt University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Interpreting and Translating with a focus on French and Russian. Ellie completed their undergraduate studies in 1992.
Following their bachelor's degree, Ellie Kemp continued their education in 2002 at the Centre for Development Studies, University of Wales Swansea. Ellie pursued a Master of Science (MSc.Econ.) degree in Development Management, which they successfully completed in 2003.
