Karen Quanbeck currently serves as Vice President of Statewide Partnerships at The Colorado Education Initiative since July 2023. Previously, Karen Quanbeck has held the position of Superintendent at Clear Creek School District since July 2019 and spent over two decades at Jefferson County Public Schools in various roles including Chief of Schools for Elementary, Achievement Director, School Improvement Specialist, and principal at both Ralston Elementary and Mandalay Middle School. Early career experience includes teaching social studies at Westminster Public Schools and Independent School District 196. Karen Quanbeck holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Carleton College, a Teaching Licensure in Social Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder, Principal Licensure from the University of Denver, and a Master's degree in Learning Technology & Curriculum Development from the University of St. Thomas.
