Roumen Vassilev has over 15 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Roumen is currently serving as the Technical Director of Optical Components at Clear Align since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at MKS Instruments as the Principal Manufacturing Engineer from February 2018 to February 2021. Roumen also held the position of Sr. Manufacturing Engineer/Program Manager at Newport Corporation (now MKS Instruments) from November 2016 to February 2018. Before that, they worked as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at Newport Corp. (now MKS Instruments) from July 2015 to February 2016. Roumen Vassilev also gained experience working as a Competence Engineer at ASML from December 2013 to July 2015. Additionally, they served in different roles at Ophir Optics LLC (now Newport) from November 2006 to December 2013, including Process Engineer and Process Engineering Tech.
Roumen Vassilev completed their high school education, earning a High School Diploma with a focus on Economics, at Economics High School in Ruse, Bulgaria from 1989 to 1993. Following that, they pursued higher education in Economic Informatics at Dimitar Tsenov University in Svishtov, Bulgaria, where they graduated with a degree in 1998. Later, from 2009 to 2011, Roumen attended SNHU in Manchester, NH, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business/Computer Information Technology.
