James Timmerman has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and security. James is currently working as a Security Engineer at Clean Power Research since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Siemens Healthineers from 2018 to 2020 as a Software Developer, where they were responsible for designing and implementing security features and supporting troubleshooting activities related to product security. Before that, they served as a Software Engineer at Siemens Healthineers from 2015 to 2017. James also has experience as a Software Engineer at Randstad Sourceright for a brief period in 2015. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, Bothell in 2014, where they worked on implementing improvements in a feature detection algorithm. In 2013, they interned at Boeing as an Information Technology Intern, where they worked on consolidating engineering applications and improving file loading performance. James also worked as a Tutor in Computer Science at the University of Washington, Bothell during the same year. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Part-time Freelance System and Network Support. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Analyst at Epicor from 2007 to 2008.

James Timmerman completed their education in Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Washington, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Edmonds College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned transferable credits in Computer Science.
