Kwatuuma Cole Sayers

Kwatuuma Cole Sayers serves as the Executive Director of the Clean Energy Association of BC (CEBC) since June 2020 and is also a member of the Board of Directors. In addition, Kwatuuma holds the position of Clean Energy Lead at the BC First Nations Energy and Mining Council since February 2022. Previously, in April 2022, Kwatuuma worked as a Senior Manager at Indigenous Clean Energy until May 2023, and served as the Indigenous Relations Lead at the B.C. Centre for Innovation & Clean Energy for a brief period in 2022. From October 2017 to January 2022, Kwatuuma was the Director of Clean Energy Programs at New Relationship Trust, where leadership was provided in the delivery of the BC Indigenous Clean Energy Initiative and in advancing Indigenous program delivery and project funding. Other roles include Community Researcher for Toquaht Nation, Cultural Researcher and Curator at McMaster University, and various research assistant positions at the University of Victoria. Kwatuuma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
