Patrick Ejike

Director Community Development Department at Clayton County Board of Commissioners

Patrick Ejike has a diverse work experience in various government and private organizations. Patrick started their career as a GIS Specialist at the DeKalb County Planning Department in 1988. From there, they worked as a GIS Manager at Fulton County from 1990 to 1995, where they handled system and network administration for the county's geographic information system. Patrick then became a Planning Manager at the DeKalb County Planning Department from 1995 to 2001.

In 2001, they joined the DeKalb County Human & Community Development Department as an Assistant Director, where they managed policies for community revitalization and home ownership. Patrick also oversaw annual grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and contracts with local service providers.

From 2002 to 2006, Patrick worked as an Associate Director at the DeKalb County Development Department, where they identified process improvement needs and managed implementation projects in various domains. Patrick then became the Director of the DeKalb County Planning and Development Department from 2006 to 2010, where they were responsible for the operations of planning, zoning, land development, environmental control, and building functions.

In 2010, Patrick joined the Aku-Bata Group LLC as a Principal, and they are currently working as the Director of the Community Development Department at the Clayton County Board of Commissioners since 2011.

Patrick Ejike's education history includes attending Leadership DeKalb and Leadership Sandysprings, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for these institutions. Patrick later pursued a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.
