Austin Leonard is a Mechanical Engineer currently employed at Clauger North America since June 2023. Previously, Austin served as a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, focusing on the development of a machine learning algorithm for image processing until May 2023. Prior to that, Austin gained experience as a Retail Associate at Walmart from August 2020 to September 2022, where efficient order fulfillment and customer service were key responsibilities. In the summer of 2022, Austin interned with the US Navy, collaborating on the design and manufacturing of a launch and recovery system for unmanned vehicles. Earlier experience includes working as a Design Engineer at Progressive Dynamics Inc. from May 2017 to July 2020, utilizing CAD software for sheet metal design specifications. Austin obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa in May 2023 and completed high school at Marengo Community High School in May 2019.
