Mark Johnson is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in battery management systems and functional safety. Currently serving as Engineering Project Lead and Senior Systems Engineer at Clarios since May 2019, Mark is focused on leading the development of new battery production programs for automated driving vehicles, while also developing strategic approaches for production engineering. Prior roles at Johnson Controls included leading technical development for Battery Management Systems and ISO-26262 functional safety, as well as managing projects on battery cooling strategies and high-voltage lithium-ion systems for various vehicle types. Mark's early career involved volunteer work with Engineers Without Borders USA, where renewable energy initiatives were spearheaded in Guatemala, as well as a teaching assistant role at Marquette University. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Bioelectronics from Marquette University, completed in 2008.
