Max Kavanagh has over 27 years of work experience in various roles within the IT field. Max began their career as a Telecommunications Operator in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and later worked as a Support Co-ordinator at Cisco and a Network Operations Analyst at Siemens. In 2002, they joined Kier Group as an IT User Support Manager and stayed with the company for 10 years.

In 2012, Max moved to Circle Housing, where they held positions such as Desk Side Service Manager and Shared Services Operations Manager, leading transformation activities and implementing a shared services organizational structure.

Max then joined Clarion Housing Group as an IT Security & Governance Manager, where they provided assurance on IT security and governance. Max also served as an IT Business Relationship Manager within the same organization, developing and delivering a business relationship and stakeholder management function.

Max later worked at Aviva as an IT Audit Manager, auditing the effectiveness and operation of risk and control frameworks for IT strategy and development.

Currently, Max is serving as the Head of IT Services at Clarion Housing Group, responsible for cyber security operations, data and security architecture, technology governance, strategy development, service operations, and budget management. Max is accountable for creating an effective cyber security strategy and roadmap.
