Prior to their current position, Luke worked at Infomedia Ltd for over 26 years. Luke started as a trainee programmer and quickly progressed through various roles. Luke served as a programmer, where they worked on electronic parts catalogue software for Australian clients. Luke then became a European Technical Liaison, where they assisted with the introduction of Infomedia's software in the European markets. Luke also took on the role of Communications Development Manager, where they managed a small team and led the development of internet-based versions of the software. Later, Luke served as a Senior Programmer, responsible for various aspects of the company's electronic parts catalogue software written in C#. Luke also worked as a Software Architect, contributing to code design, code reviews, and software selection.
Throughout their career, Luke has demonstrated their ability to deliver quality software, lead small teams, and make informed decisions. Their experience spans across web development, integration with third-party software, and the use of different programming languages and technologies.
Luke Thompson attended TAFE NSW from 1993 to 1994, studying programming and electronics. No degree was obtained during this period.
