Mary M. has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began working as a Laboratory Technician at Claret Bioscience, where they perform casework for Astrea Forensics and accessions samples into the Astrea Forensics Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Mary also performs DNA extraction on biologically degraded hair, bone, or teeth and performs next generation sequencing library preparation using SRSLY technology. Additionally, they handle administrative aspects of commercial production through Sage Intacct, manages ordering and inventory of lab/office supplies, and runs company social media accounts.

In 2020, Mary M. began working as an Embryology Patient Coordinator at CARE Fertility, where they collected post-treatment outcomes for the annual year-end report to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and input patient data and laboratory records in EMR, Care Cloud, SART, and Google Drive.

In 2019, Mary M. worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where they designed experiments and trained in DNA extraction, RNA extraction, electroporation, qPCR, ddPCR, RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, flowcytometry, and western blot.

In 2018, Mary M. worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the George Washington University Columbian College of Arts & Sciences, where they investigated candidate genes in chimpanzees for HRMA genotyping, investigated trichromatic vision in Sifaka lemur populations, and trained in DNA extraction from fecal matter, qPCR, and gel electrophoresis. Additionally, they worked as an Intern at Orchard Therapeutics, where they quality checked an FDA application for a gene therapy to treat ADA-SCID, taught how lentiviral and gamma retroviral gene therapy treatments are made and tested in academic and pharmaceutical environments, and attended lab meetings at Donald Kohn, MD's laboratory at the UCLA Broad Stem Cell Center to learn about current gene therapy and gene editing practices.

In 2017, Mary M. worked as a Laboratory Assistant at CARE Fertility, where they input patient data and laboratory records in EMR, Care Cloud, Right Signature, SART, and Google Drive, maintained a sanitary laboratory environment, and was responsible for office management that included record filing and ordering medical supplies.

In 2016, Mary M. worked as a Hostess at New Moon Restaurant, where they interfaced with customers at the restaurant and over the phone, was responsible for seating and reservations, phone calls, and take out orders, and operated a POS system. Additionally, they worked as a Barista at Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse, where they prepared drinks, logged inventory, and maintained a sanitary kitchen and dining environment, organized merchandise, assisted customers in book selection, and operated a POS system.

In 2013, Mary M. worked as a Council Member at the City of La Cañada Flintridge, where they were part of the Youth Council, which consists of nine members between 14-19 years of age during their service on the board.

Mary M. attended La Cañada High School from 2012 to 2016, graduating with a High School Diploma. Mary then attended The George Washington University from 2017 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology & Archaeology. In 2019, Mary M. also studied Spanish and Iberian Studies at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
