Amy Howells, J.D., M.P.H., currently serves as Associate Counsel at ClaimDOC since August 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Attorney at BrownWinick and Summer Legal Intern at the same firm, along with legal internships at Sellers, Galenbeck & Nelson and Meredith Corporation. Previous to their legal career, Amy held positions with the Iowa Department of Public Health as Client Services Coordinator and with the American Red Cross as Client Outreach Coordinator, focusing on case management services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Additionally, Amy worked as Member Engagement/Wellness Director at the YMCA of Greater Des Moines, overseeing member-focused initiatives. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School, a Master of Public Health from Des Moines University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Iowa.
