Blake Smith is currently the CEO at Cladwell, but they didn't always have such an impressive resume. In their early twenties, Blake held jobs as a customer service representative and a professional ski instructor. It wasn't until they co-founded the Akola Project in 2007 that they began to make a name for himself.
As the executive director of the Akola Project, Blake was responsible for managing all activities for both the US and Uganda offices. This included everything from financial planning and management to human resources. Blake was also instrumental in transitioning the organization from a donor-funded non-profit model to a sales-driven social business. In four short years, they were able to grow product sales from $20,000 to an impressive $300,000.
In 2013, Blake left the Akola Project to pursue other opportunities. Blake didn't stay unemployed for long, however, as they were soon appointed CEO of Cladwell. Under their leadership, Cladwell has continued to grow and prosper.
Some individuals on their team include Chris Ridenour - CTO, Erin Flynn - Chief Marketing Officer, and Colin Flynn - Chief Operating Officer.
