Iban Salda Safwan has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career at Unocal, where they worked as a Psychologist handling the selection and recruitment process. Afterwards, they joined Chevron and held multiple roles, including Organizational Capability Specialist, Human Resources Business Partner, and Training and Development Specialist. At Star Energy, they served as a Team Manager for Organizational Capability & Talent Management and later as a Human Resources Business Partner. Currently, Iban is working at Cladtek as the Sr. Vice President People & Culture, where they oversee various aspects of the business, including organizational capability, people management, ESG, culture shaping, branding & marketing, and learning & development. They have demonstrated expertise in areas such as performance management, talent acquisition, and digitalization of HR processes.

Iban Salda Safwan has a diverse education history. Starting in 1994, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Teaching from Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry. They then pursued further education, earning an S1 degree in Psychology from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan between 1997 and 2002. Following this, Safwan enrolled in the Post Graduate, Professional Program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) from 2002 to 2004, specializing in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Supporting their educational qualifications, Safwan also obtained certifications. In 2002, they became a Psychologist through the program offered by Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). They later obtained a certification in Behavior Event Interview (BEI) in October 2004. Furthermore, they completed the Facilitator program through NTC & Horizons Program at Chevron in February 2012. As of June 2022, Safwan acquired the Executive Class degree in Business Administration and Management, General from INSEAD. Additionally, they obtained the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) certification from The Myers-Briggs Company in June 2022.
