Richard Burns has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in content marketing, communications, and PR. Richard is currently the Head of Content, Communications, and PR at CJ since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Communications, Europe at Epsilon from 2016 to 2021. Richard also served as a Content Marketing Manager at AVADO from 2015 to 2016 and founded their own content marketing agency called Webbed Content from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Richard worked as a Content Marketing Manager at Crate Enterprises from 2014 to 2015 and as a Web Content Manager at QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) from 2010 to 2012. Richard started their career as a Reporter and Deputy Business Editor at Muscat Daily in 2009 and as a Content Editor at ninemsn in 2008. Richard also has experience in education, having taught English in Spain as an English Teacher and Head Teacher at Step! Summer Camps in 2007. Prior to that, they worked as a freelance writer for various publications from 2001 to 2006, primarily covering music, film, TV, and event reviews.

Richard Burns attended Keele University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a BA Dual Honours degree in English and History. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Content Strategy for Professionals and An Introduction to Marketing from Coursera.
