Simon Sylvester-Chaudhuri is an experienced professional in urban development and innovation. As the Founder and Executive Director of CIV:LAB since May 2017, Simon has been pivotal in shaping initiatives related to urban technology. Simon also serves as Producer and Co-Creator of the Urban Tech Summit since October 2015. Previously, Simon held a Managing Partner position at Global Futures Group from March 2015 to May 2018 and was an Advisor to the Assistant Secretary & Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce between September 2015 and December 2016, supporting the International Trade Association. As a founding team member of Urban Future Lab from October 2012 to December 2014, Simon contributed to key advancements in urban innovation. Academically, Simon is involved in education, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business School and an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University, while also holding a Master's degree in Energy and Environment from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Sussex.
