Cassidy Rankine, PhD, is a seasoned professional in remote sensing and geospatial analytics, currently serving as the Senior Account Executive for Canada at Planet since July 2021. With extensive experience in product management and technology development, Cassidy also leads as the Product Manager for Civil Tracker, focusing on automated construction monitoring through advanced scanning technologies. As an Advisory Panel Chair Member for the National Ecological Observatory Network, Cassidy oversees environmental instrumentation quality assurance efforts. The ownership of Rankine Geospatial allows Cassidy to provide tailored remote sensing and GIS consulting services across various industries. Formerly, Cassidy co-founded and managed operations at Pond Pirates and Skymatics, contributing to innovative aquatic surveying and remote sensing applications. Academically, Cassidy holds a PhD in Remote Sensing from the University of Alberta, where impactful research on satellite and in-situ systems for forest biometrics was conducted.
