Emily Liu

'23 Civic Innovation Fellow at Civics Unplugged

Emily Liu is a multifaceted leader currently serving as the Founder and President of SolveXchange, where the focus is on empowering students to develop and present innovative business proposals. Emily is also a '23 Civic Innovation Fellow at Civics Unplugged, enhancing civic leadership among high school students. As a DECA Executive, Emily develops educational content for peers preparing for business competitions and has previously competed at regional and provincial levels in Business Law and Ethics. With a coaching background in rhythmic gymnastics for Gymnastics Ontario and experience as a high-level gymnast, Emily has represented Team Ontario at the Canadian National Championships. Additionally, Emily contributes as a Web Designer for the Guanlan Scholarship Foundation Inc, creating digital platforms to support scholarships for underprivileged girls. Recent work includes data visualization projects during a summer program with Kode With Klossy, utilizing data science skills. Currently pursuing education at Iroquois Ridge High School, Emily's diverse interests align with a commitment to community improvement and personal growth.
