Bethanie Glaser has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bethanie began their career at Hudson Bay Company of Illinois as a Manager from June 2006 to April 2011. Bethanie then joined Teach For America as a Corps Member from June 2011 to May 2013, where they also served as an Associate, Development and raised a record-setting $1.4m in event revenue.

From September 2018 to February 2019, they worked as Chief of Staff, Revenue & Development, driving a $2.7m increase in revenue and supporting the launch of Chalkbeat Newark. From February 2019 to May 2022, they took on the role of Chief of Staff, CEO & Executive team, leading internal communications and overseeing the launch of Chalkbeat Philadelphia.
Currently, Bethanie serves as the Senior Director of Strategy & Expansion at Civic News Company, a position they have held since May 2022.
