Waldo L. Halfhuid is an accomplished financial leader with extensive experience in regulatory reporting and governance. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at De Surinaamsche Bank since August 2023, Waldo holds multiple board positions, including Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Stichting Vermogensbeheer ZZg and member of the Supervisory Boards and audit committees at MKDV CityKids and Scholen in de Kunst. Previously, Waldo excelled as a Senior Advisor at ING, focusing on regulatory reporting policies, and spent nearly two decades at NIBC Bank, where responsibilities included Associate Director and Vice President roles. Early career roles include Controller at GUO and Manager Finance at Hotel Krasnapolsky in Paramaribo, with a strong educational foundation from the University of Suriname and The Hague University.
