Kees van der Meer has extensive experience in aviation operations, beginning with a role as Junior Calculator and technical draughtsman at De Ruyter en van Eijsden from August 1978 to February 1980. Following this, Kees held positions including Flight Operations Officer at Rotterdam Air b.v. and Duty Officer for cargo operations at Avia Presto b.v. from March 1981 to January 1991. From February 1988 to June 1991, Kees worked part-time as a cargo loadmaster for various airlines, subsequently serving as Ground Operations Manager and Operations Duty Manager at Servisair between January 1991 and July 2000. Kees then transitioned to Shell Aircraft International as a Flight Operations Controller from August 2000 until March 2011. Currently, Kees is engaged as an Operations Controller under an on-call contract with CityJet/VLM at Rotterdam The Hague Airport, a position held since December 2012.
