Anthony Hernandez serves as the Executive Director at City Teaching Alliance since June 2016, previously holding the roles of Assistant Director and Recruitment and Onboarding Specialist. Responsibilities include supporting Urban Teachers participants, leading selection decisions for new cohorts, and engaging stakeholders to enhance participant experience. Prior to this role, Anthony worked as a High School English Teacher at Birdville ISD and IDEA Public Schools, where notable accomplishments include leading students to exceed statewide averages in assessment passing rates and organizing significant college exposure trips. Earlier experience includes serving as a College Adviser at Texas Christian University and holding various positions within the university's operations. Anthony holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Texas Christian University.
