Martin Kelly OBE is a seasoned professional in the field of children's services, currently serving as the Corporate Director of Children and Education (DCS) at City of York Council since August 2022. In addition, Martin is a Route Panel Member for Care Services at the Institute for Apprenticeships since April 2018. Martin's extensive experience at North Yorkshire County Council from August 2003 to August 2022 includes roles such as Assistant Director for Children and Families, overseeing services such as Children's Social Care and Early Help. As Head of Children and Young People's Resources, Martin managed strategic placement provisions and led innovative service redesigns to enhance the quality and efficiency of care. Martin also has experience as a LGA Peer Reviewer with the Local Government Association in October 2021.
