Andrew Laslett is a seasoned professional in leisure and community services with over two decades of experience in various managerial roles. Currently serving as the Strategic Services Manager at the City of York Council since July 2002, Andrew oversees cultural services, including the management of the York Community Stadium, leisure facilities, libraries, and museums, while also leading children and community centers and strategic change projects. Prior to this, Andrew held the position of Operations & Business Development Manager for Sport & Active Leisure, managing leisure facilities and the sports development team. Earlier experience includes a role as Leisure Manager at Bourne Leisure, where responsibilities included overseeing a large sports complex and managing a diverse range of leisure services. Andrew holds a BSc(Hons) in Leisure & Consumer Studies from Leeds Beckett University and a National Diploma in Leisure Management from Yorkshire Coast College.
