Neethu Syam is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Planning Division Lead and Development Planner for the City of White Rock since July 2021. Previous roles include a Student Planning Intern at the Corporation of the Village of Cumberland, where Neethu conducted research and prepared a statement of significance for the King George Hotel, and a Research Assistant at the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Institute. Earlier career pathways involved two significant positions in architecture: as an Architect at Sajan Pulimood Architects & Interior Consultants, collaborating on design plans and stakeholder engagement, and as a Trainee Architect at ThirdSpace Architecture Studio, focused on schematic designs and client interactions. Neethu holds a Master's degree in Community Planning from Vancouver Island University and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
