Lydia Caudill is an experienced community development professional currently serving as the Community Development Block Grant Coordinator for the City of Walla Walla since July 2021, where responsibilities include managing project budgets and ensuring compliance with regulations. Previous roles include serving as a Data Analyst for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, an Economic Development Intern at the Port of Columbia, and a Program Manager at Sherwood Trust, focusing on capacity building and stakeholder communication. Lydia's background also encompasses grant writing, statistical analysis, and project management, complemented by grassroots storytelling initiatives during time as Creator and Producer for the Pedal and Plow project. Additional experience includes work with the Peace Corps as a Training Coordinator and Agriculture Extension Volunteer, as well as project management roles with Seattle Tilth and BURST. Lydia holds a Master of Arts in Global Studies with an emphasis on Food Systems and Food Sovereignty from the University of Oregon and a degree in Community Environment and Planning from the University of Washington.
