Melissa Sheldon is an experienced professional in animal services and veterinary care, currently serving as the Animal Services Operations Manager and Interim Animal Services Administrator for the City of Waco, TX, since September 2022. Previously, Melissa worked as the Animal Care Supervisor for the City of Georgetown from August 2019 to September 2022, where an increase in live release outcomes was achieved. Prior roles include Interim Manager and Lead Technician at Northwest Pet Hospital from November 2017 to August 2019, and a series of positions including Veterinary Technician and Shift Lead at Banfield Pet Hospital from October 2013 to September 2018. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from Texas A&M University, completed in 2012.
