Deloye Burrell has extensive experience in community planning and entrepreneurship. As a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Deloye Burrell contributes to the regulation of zoning for residential and commercial projects. In addition, as the founder of IShopVH, a non-profit Facebook blog co-managed with Diane Burrell, community engagement is fostered by featuring local businesses nominated by residents. Previously, Deloye Burrell owned Deloye Burrell Photography from 1961 to 2014 and served as a consumer representative on the Alabama State Board of Examiners for Assisted Living Administrators from January 2011 to May 2013, where the qualifications for assisted living administrators were evaluated. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University and studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
