Charles R. has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and planning, currently serving as the Planning GIS Manager for the City of Sumter since September 2013. In this role, Charles oversees the management and delivery of spatial content for various departments, ensuring the effective operation of Esri GIS software and web map services. Charles has also worked as a GIS/IT Consultant and Cartographer since 1999, collaborating with clients such as the City of Myrtle Beach and Quality Pools. Previous roles include GIS Analyst for the Air Force GeoBase Program at MicroTech, GIS Project Manager at Northrop Grumman Corporation, and various positions at AECOM, contributing to significant projects for the Air Force. Charles holds an Associate's degree in Architecture from Nashville State Community College.
