Lee Sommers is a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in civil engineering and geotechnical work. Currently employed by the City of St. Joseph since August 2003, Lee previously served as a Geotechnical Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers from January 2002 to July 2003. In this role, Lee developed and implemented field boring plans and soil testing programs for Missouri River mitigation projects, as well as conducted risk-based analyses for Kansas City Flood Control Projects. Lee holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in 2001.
