Alexandra Rutherford is an experienced professional in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with a demonstrated history of roles in both municipal and consulting environments. Currently serving as the Spatial Data and Applications Team Lead at the City of St. Albert since July 2019, Alexandra has been instrumental in transitioning the organization to a new ArcGIS Enterprise environment and has also held various positions including GIS Analyst and Senior GIS Data Architect (interim). Prior experience includes roles as a Geospatial Analyst at Strathcona County, where pivotal contributions were made to maintain corporate geospatial data, and as a GIS Specialist at Stantec, where Alexandra worked extensively on municipal asset management projects. Earlier career experience includes positions as a Geocoding Technician at Provigo and a Biologist at SCABRIC. Educational credentials include a D.E.S.S in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from UQAM and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from the University of Alberta, along with ongoing studies in Business Analysis at NAIT.
