Donovan MacCarone

Water Resources Laboratory Analyst at City of Santa Barbara

Donovan Maccarone is an experienced Water Resources Laboratory Analyst at the City of Santa Barbara, where responsibilities include conducting chemical, physical, and biological analyses of various water sources since August 2012. In addition, Donovan has been involved with Global NGO Media and Gaviota Coast Conservancy as an Associate Producer and Internship Coordinator, focusing on the creation of a documentary about the Gaviota Coast and managing an internship program. Other notable roles include serving on the Outreach & Education Committee at the Gaviota Coast Conservancy, a Water Quality Intern with the Creeks Division, and a Snowy Plover Docent at Coal Oil Point Reserve. With additional experience as a Naturalist for Ocean Futures Society and Lead Instructor for Environmental Education for the Next Generation, Donovan's work emphasizes environmental education and conservation. Donovan holds a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a Divemaster certification from PADI.
