Dominic Matias is an experienced planning professional currently serving as an Assistant Planner for the City of San Juan Capistrano since August 2023. Previously, Dominic held roles as a Planning Aide and Planning Intern at the City of Lake Forest, CA, where tasks included assisting the public at the Planning Counter, conducting plan checks, and preparing Zoning Verification Letters. Dominic earned a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of California, Irvine, and previously completed a degree in Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Additional experience includes an internship at TransForm focusing on transportation planning and customer service roles in recreational sports.
