Mario Lara has extensive experience in public administration and management, currently serving as the Assistant City Manager for Public Safety at the City of Sacramento since September 2019. Previously, Mario held the position of Deputy Director for Parks, Recreation and Community Services and Principal Management Analyst at the City of Riverside from December 2005. Earlier in the career, Mario worked at Los Angeles County within the Los Angeles Superior Court from January 1995 to January 1997. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University-San Bernardino and dual bachelor's degrees in Applied Science (Economics) and Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
