Veronique Graves has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Veronique started their career as an Intern/Steward Recruiter at AmeriCorps in 2001, where they prepared recruitment materials, planned recruitment events, and presented at information sessions. Veronique then became a Team Leader at AmeriCorps, where they organized and facilitated service and personal development activities and taught environmental education lessons. Veronique went on to work as a Permanent Substitute Teacher at Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, teaching students in K-12 classrooms and working on administrative projects. Veronique later worked as an Itinerant Educational Interpreter at Gwinnett County Public Schools before joining Montgomery College as a Sign Language Interpreter. In this role, they provided sign language interpreting in various community settings. Veronique also served as a Zumba Instructor and Director of Operations at the City of Rockville, leading weekly Zumba classes, designing and modifying classes for different fitness levels, and encouraging participants to pursue health goals.
