Katherine Kirk-Dantzler

Katherine Kirk-Dantzler has an extensive background in television production and communication. Katherine began their career at Fox Television Stations in 2003, where they served as a Television News Producer for the No. 1 local morning news broadcast in the Detroit market. Katherine'sresponsibilities included segment and set creation, booking national guests, directing a production crew, and building relationships with community leaders. Katherine then transitioned to TV One in 2014, becoming the Senior Producer of "News One Now," the first daily morning news show dedicated to news from an African American perspective. Katherine led a team of eight staff members in gathering news and information for the show. Currently, they are the Director of Communications for the City of Rockville, a role they have held since 2015. In this position, Katherine oversees the municipality's cable channel, ensuring that the Mayor and Council's message reaches the community through various programs. Katherine manages a team of five, including a production manager and journalists.

Katherine Kirk-Dantzler completed their Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. Katherine attended the university from 1991 to 1994.
