Gerrit Meyer is an experienced community development professional currently serving as a Community Development Officer for the City of Rockingham since March 2022. Prior to this role, Gerrit held various positions at JLL, including Operations Assistant and Facilities Manager, and served as Assistant Operations Manager at Vicinity Centres. Extensive expertise in sport and recreation was gained during a long tenure at the City of Johannesburg, where Gerrit held multiple roles such as Assistant Director of Sport and Recreation, Acting Deputy Director, and Regional Manager, focusing on policy development, service delivery planning, and community needs evaluation. Gerrit's educational background includes a BA Honours Degree in Sport Management from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement Science from the University of the North West.
