Matt Taylor has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. Matt began their career at Kohn Colodny LLP in 2005, where they worked as a Senior Accountant until 2010. In 2010, they joined the City of Reno, starting as a Financial Services Coordinator and later becoming a Senior Management Analyst in Finance. In 2022, they were promoted to Accounting Manager and is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Finance at the City of Reno.

Matt Taylor received their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno in the time period of 2000 to 2005. Matt further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting from 2005 to 2007.
