Samira Shalan, P.E. currently serves as the City Engineer for the City of Plantation, a position held since December 2020. Prior to this role, Samira held the position of Assistant Utilities Director at the City of Sunrise from December 2016 to December 2020. Samira's earlier experience includes serving as Assistant City Engineer and Senior Engineer for the City of Tamarac from April 2006 to November 2016, and as an Engineer with the City of Fort Lauderdale from January 2005 to April 2006. Samira earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University between 2000 and 2002.
