Jamie Lloyd-Smith is a dedicated Social Development Specialist with experience in various roles aimed at improving community services and support systems. Currently serving as the department head at the City of Penticton since November 2021, Jamie focuses on critical areas such as Housing & Homelessness, Childcare, Food Security, Mental Health & Substance Use, and Age-Friendliness Planning. Previous positions include Social Development Coordinator at CMHA Kelowna, where Jamie developed a youth homelessness prevention strategy, and various roles in the nonprofit and retail sectors, including Volunteer & Practicum Coordinator and Marketing Communications Manager. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government & Cultural Studies from The University of British Columbia, complemented by foundational studies at Capilano University and Summit Pacific College.
