Heather Sutherland is an experienced professional in the fields of economic development and communications, currently serving as the Economic Development & Communications Officer for the City of Pembroke since July 2017. Previously, Heather held the position of Tourism & Communications Officer in the same organization and was the Manager at Pembroke Business Improvement Area from October 2013 to May 2019. Additionally, Heather worked as a Communications Consultant for The Sutherland Team and began a career in journalism as a Staff Reporter for Barry's Bay This Week - Sun Media from April 2011 to October 2013. Heather earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University, focusing on journalism and music, from 2006 to 2011.
