Andrew Thompson, CGFO, currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Financial Services for the City of Oakland Park, a position held since February 2013. Additionally, Andrew is the Chairman of the General Employees Pension Plan Board of Trustees. Previous experience includes roles as Interim Director and Assistant Director of Financial Services and Budget & Management Analyst, along with a position as Special Projects Manager at The John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at Florida State University. Prior experience also encompasses working as a Legal Records Specialist for Leon County Government. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Florida City & County Management from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northern Kentucky University.
