Dan Dawson is a professional with extensive experience in transportation planning and community development. Currently serving as the Principal Transportation Planner at the Marin County Department of Public Works since May 2006, Dan has also held the position of Planning Commissioner for the City of Novato since September 2007, during which time Dan has served as Chair and Vice Chair. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Planner at the Marin County Community Development Agency from May 1996 to April 2006 and Assistant Planner at the City of Vacaville from May 1991 to May 1996. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned between 1985 and 1990.
