Shyam Marwala is a Process Engineer at the City of Newark since February 2019, focusing on the water treatment department and ensuring compliance with NJDEP, GMP, and OSHA regulations to maintain safe drinking water quality. Previously, Shyam held the position of Junior Process Engineer at Siemens Healthineers from November 2017 to February 2019, where responsibilities included supervising lab operators and ensuring adherence to safety protocols during testing operations. Prior experience as a Lab Technician at Hampton Clarke involved conducting soil and water analyses, while an internship as a Chemical Engineer Intern at Navin Fluorine International Ltd. provided hands-on experience in material calculations for production goals. Shyam holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University.
