Eric Pennington is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial litigation, civil rights, and employment discrimination. Currently serving as Business Administrator for the City of Newark since July 2018, Pennington previously held the role of Managing Partner at Pennington Law Group, a minority-owned law firm focused on defending DWI/DUI cases and litigating civil rights matters. Earlier career roles include Partner at Eric S Pennington, P.C. specializing in commercial litigation and civil rights, Associate positions at Gibbons PC and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP concentrating on employment litigation, and a judicial law clerkship with Hon. Damon Keith at the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Pennington earned a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School between 1988 and 1992.
