Dolores Martinez Wooden, a LEED AP professional, currently serves as the Director of Engineering for the City of Newark since July 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Project Engineer at Turner Construction Co. from February 2005 to July 2022, and a Design Build Intern position at the New Jersey Institute of Technology Faculty from June to September 2004. Additional experience encompasses a Transit Research and Public Outreach Technician role at the New Jersey Dept. of Transportation from June to September 2003, and an Architectural Intern position at Albert Zaccone Architect from January to August 2003. Dolores earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Construction Management, along with a Mechanical Engineering Minor focused on Manufacturing and Building Materials from the New Jersey Institute of Technology between 2005 and 2007. The academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a concentration on Architecture and Building System Design, completed at New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2005.
