Kelly M. Murphy is an experienced professional in program coordination and staff management, currently serving as the Assistant Afterschool Program Coordinator for the City of New Britain since June 2022. In this role, Kelly recruits, hires, supervises, and evaluates over 130 part-time and seasonal staff members, while also assisting with various summer camp programs. As the Residence Director at PrimeCare, Inc. since September 2020, Kelly develops and coordinates individual care plans for residents, ensuring staff effectively meet their needs. Previously, as a Staffing Consultant at JOHNLEONARD, Kelly managed full-cycle recruiting for contracted roles, and during tenure with the City of New Britain from 2011 to 2018, gained expertise in child development and academic programming as a Staff Supervisor. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons University and Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut.
