Katie Champion has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Katie served as a Training Coordinator at the City of Minneapolis since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Literacy Instructional Coach and Coordinator at Twin Cities International School from August 2019 to January 2023.

Katie also has experience in education, having worked as a 5th grade Language Arts teacher at Minnesota International Middle School from August 2013 to August 2019. Katie taught ELA, Reading, and Science to students with diverse learning needs and collaborated with other teachers to implement curriculum and design units.

Katie was a K-Focus Literacy Tutor at Minnesota Education Corps from August 2012 to July 2013, where they focused on improving students' reading skills. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Literacy Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, which they completed from 2017 to 2019.
